Rock Garden is located at 10km from Darjeeling. The rock garden is known as Barbotey Rock garden. Rock Garden can be reached through the Hill Cart Road of Darjeeling. It takes 25 minutes to reach rock garden from Darjeeling. To reach rock garden you have to take sharp bends on the way and the gradient of the road is also very steep. As you enter the place you will get to know why this place is called rock garden. Because the entire garden has been made by cutting rocks at different levels and seating arrangements are made there. To reach to the top of the garden you have to keep climbing the stairs. You can also find small stalls selling snacks and other items for the visitors. It is a major tourist attraction and you can visit it with your family and friends. The whole ambience of this park is pleasant and the sound of the flowing water from a mountain makes the atmosphere soothing. You can also get a chance of wearing traditional mountain dress here and can click pictures. Visitors can enjoy a bath from the natural water flowing from the mountain. The park also has a lush garden with beautiful flowers all around. There is a big fish pond in this park.
Ganga Maya Park is 3km away from rock garden. This place is a recent addition to the destinations of Darjeeling. Ganga Maya Park is perched at a height of 7000 feet. It has a beautiful waterfall and a stream flows through the entire park. Another most important part of this park is boat riding which is loved by the visitors visiting this place from all over the world.
